Yesterday, I started the Keto “diet”, or as I prefer to call it – the Keto “plan”.
My goal is to transition into a healthier, more active lifestyle. Basically I want to be able to play tag with my child and not end up wheezing on the playground floor – I couldn’t even make it to the bench. #truestory
According to my driver’s license I weigh 149 lbs. Why did I “choose” that number? Because it the maximum weight I can be and still remain the “normal” range on the BMI (Body Mass Index) Chart for Women (see below). I haven’t weighed 149 lbs since 2010. College Finals + Fatigue + Freaking out = 149 lbs.
So I’ve decided to stop focusing on being classified as “morbidly obsese” (WTF!!!) because my CURVES aren’t accounted for in this chart. And I’m a curvy betch!
Before embarking on My Keto “plan” I decided to use the 3 Day weekend to host my Bon Voyage Party (BVP) to “All the Foods I Ever Loved”. #netflixoriginal Special guests included the Takis, Lil Chicken Tenders, Mr. Mashed Potatoes with a special sauce (that’s my fancy way of saying I have no idea what’s in it), and a bunch of other food coma inducing foods.
My BVP was a HUGE success. I officially no longer want to consume copious amounts of unhealthy foods. As much as I LOVE Takis, I completely overdid it and Tuesday I felt sluggish and sick to my stomach. Does this mean I’ll never eat another Taki again?!?
But I’m once again reminded why moderation is the key. And since I spend a lot of time looking for my car keys, you can understand why it’s taking me forever to learn my lesson.
One of the other lessons I’m learning is how to deal with my late night binges and food cravings. My current solution is having an accountability partner who I send photos of my meals with cheeky captions, not calorie counts. 😜
Since I haven’t quite figured out how to explain a 10 pm pretzel and hummus binge, I’ll be on my best “eating” behavior…for now.😂
Here’s my starting info:
Current Weight : 211
Starting Weight : 225 (I lost 14 lbs already! This is mostly due to a change in my meds.)
AND if you’re looking for healthy eating tips but not neccesarily The Keto “Plan” check out this post I wrote (4 years ago!) about how I lost over 35 lbs over 6 months just from adjusting my eating habits. It’s appropriately titled: DIETS SUCK. #balls
